Grand Final: 31st of July – 1st of August 2017

Mikrokosmos International Music Competition has been created to promote innovative projects on classical music culture and to develop a real platform for contact between teachers and students that contributes to discover young talents and the establishment of their professional careers.

 

This Competition has been launched on 3rd August 2016 by the Founders “CEMPAKA TOUR” and the Musical School “Anton Rubinstein”, thanks to the support of City Hall of Rome and the Italian Ministry of Culture. In this first competition, tenor Jun Wei Xie (China) unanimously awarded First Prize. This event immediately became an annual Competition on today’s international music scene.

 

The Competition is open to eligible candidates between 13 and 30 y.o and divided into Non-Professional Students: Teenagers (13-16 y.o.); Youngers (16-19 y.o.); Adults (over 19 y.o.) and Professional Students (Pre-academic students, Academic Students and Master students).

 

Disciplines have been divided into Piano, keyboard, organ, accordion (Group “A”); orchestra, woodwind and string instruments, percussions (Group “B”); voice, opera singers (Group “C”).

 

This year, “Mikrokosmos” Artistic Director of the Prize, Sara Matteo, announced that the Grand Final will take place at

the same time as the preliminary selections. This phase will be held on 31st of July, 1st  and 2nd  of August 2017. During this,

24 candidates will be chosen to participate at the Grand Final to be planned on 3rd and 4th of August 2017.

 

The jury will be composed of music top experts on the international concert circuit . The Maestro Michele Tisei, teacher of violin at Santa Cecilia Conservatory, will enrich the Competition with his presence and play the final concert during the event.

 

The Organization will award several prizes in collaboration with cultural associations and affiliated foundations, including concerts at prestigious international musical institutions. A special prize will be offered to the winner who will be engaged to perform a debut concert, including travel expenses and lodging.

 

Lodging and meals for competitors will be guaranteed in hotels chosen by the Competition Committee, since the date of the convocation till the last day of their active participation in the competition. After the Mikrokosmos is finished the students are invited to take part into a special tour around Italy.

Terms and Conditions

  • Deposit of 50%, upon confirmation, to be transferred no later than 30.04.2017
  • Saldo Payment to be carried out no later than 25.06.2017

 

  • 50% Penalty of Deposit Sum in case of Cancellation within 30.04.2017
  • 75% Penalty of Deposit Sum in case of Cancellation within 30.05.2017
  • 100% Penalty of Deposit Sum in case of Cancellation within 25.06.2017
  • 100% Penalty of Entire Sum in case of Cancellation since 25.06.2017 up to day of arrival

 

 

 

 

All of the above payments shall be made by bank transfer; in the event that the contract party fails to pay this amount within the periods specified above, CEMPAKA TOUR shall be entitled to terminate the Agreement by informing the contract party, by any suitable means of communication (PEC/email/fax), within five days after the failure of the latter, of wanting to terminate the Agreement.

In the event of non-payment of deposits on the above listed dates, CEMPAKA TOUR reserves the right to terminate this contract by informing the contract party, by any suitable means of communication (PEC/email/fax) within five days after a failure of the latter; in such circumstances, CEMPAKA TOUR reserves the right to withhold, in whole or in part, the deposits already paid by the contract party as a way of fair compensation for all the services and activities already put in place prior to the performance and functionality of the academic and logistic package at that date as well as a refund of costs and disbursements already made by CEMPAKA TOUR .

 

Any revisions made within the Cancellation Penalty Policy, such as change in departure date or choice of study trip, are subject to this cancellation policy. Arriving late or leaving a study trip in progress, for any reason

whatsoever, will not result in a refund, and no refunds will be made for any unused portions of the study trip.

If an excursion is cancelled prior to departure, CEMPAKA TOUR will provide the contracting party with a full refund of money; except in the event that the cancellation is due to a significant event that makes it unfeasible to operate the study trip as planned, in which case the contracting party will provide participants with a refund or/and credit toward a future Study Trip equivalent to the monies paid to the contracting party.
